Creative Care - Knitting and Crocheting

The donated supplies have transformed our knitting and crocheting club. Students are eager to gather each week, creating a vibrant and supportive community. They've formed genuine friendships, sharing tips and encouragement as they tackle new patterns. Many students have taken their projects home, continuing to work on them and proudly displaying their creations. We've witnessed a remarkable sense of accomplishment as students master new stitches and complete their projects. Perhaps most importantly, the club has provided a much-needed respite from the constant distractions of their phones, allowing them to focus on a creative endeavor and find a sense of calm and focus.

When the initial donations arrived, the excitement in the classroom was palpable! Students were amazed by the variety of colors and textures of the yarn, and they eagerly explored the different types of needles and hooks. They immediately began brainstorming project ideas, sharing their visions for scarves, hats, and even small stuffed animals. The creativity and ingenuity displayed were truly inspiring.”
