With these new earbuds, students are now able to engage with technology in a more focused and personalized way. Many of our learning programs, including reading comprehension exercises, and language development apps, require audio components. Before, students struggled to hear their lessons clearly due to background noise, but now they can fully immerse themselves in their learning without distractions. This has significantly improved their comprehension and engagement with the material.
The excitement on their faces when they received their very own pair of earbuds was priceless! For many, this was their first time having access to quality audio for schoolwork, and they immediately noticed the difference. They love being able to control their own volume and listen at their own pace, which has given them a sense of independence and ownership over their learning.
Some of my quieter, more reserved students, who previously hesitated to participate, have really opened up with this new tool. One student in particular, who struggles with reading aloud due to confidence issues, has been using literacy apps with text-to-speech features. With the earbuds, he can listen and practice in a way that feels private and comfortable for him. His confidence has grown tremendously, and he is now participating more in class discussions!
