My students are social butterflies learning how to fly. They are explorers, inventors, and leaders. While they have incredible skills and are motivated to be their best, they require sensory and environmental accommodations to thrive. Dim lighting, predictable routines, consistent language, and visuals help tremendously. Right now, we are craving warmth and coziness in the classroom to help soothe during meltdowns, dampen sounds, and provide lots of floor-time space. My students would be incredibly thankful for any donation made to help us get a classroom rug!
