  • Books with Deaf Representation

    I would like to thank you on behalf of our library and our students. Having these books in our library has already made an impact at our school. It is heartwarming to hear my hard of hearing and deaf students tell me "hey, he has hearing aids just like me!". They feel seen and finally have characters that look like them or have the same experiences as them.

    I have attached photos of one of our primary classes reading aloud one of the books you helped fund with an ASL interpreter that is interpreting the book to our deaf and hard of hearing Littles. The student in front has hearing aids....just like the bear in the story. Thank for giving him that experience.”
