Thank you for your generous support of my classroom, my students, and the Wai'anae community. My students have greatly benefitted from the use of their new standing desks. They also love that the desks can roll, which has positively impacted students, especially those who have individualized education plans.
New class protocols allow students to share the standing desks because so many students want to use them. They are really excited to use the desks!
Students also were excited about the brain food to better help them focus!”

Thank you so much for your support of my classroom and Waiʻanae High School. Students are so excited to use headphones during class as needed. Having a classroom set of headphones for each student brings equity into my classroom since some students cannot afford their own set of headphones or AirPods.
The biggest use of the headphones is for standardized testing. Students are asked three times a semester to complete this very challenging online standardized test. There is a new feature on the test that students are taking advantage of with the use of their new headphones: the audible test. This feature will read the scientific passages and questions aloud to students. This will help to increase students' ability to comprehend the test and help them feel more confident about their test scores. Students can also use the headphones when they have independent work time.”
