Animation Class Mental Health Space

Thank you so much for your contributions to our classroom. We received books, beanbag chairs, drawing supplies, coloring books for anxiety, and much more. The students have been so excited to use the materials and having them around makes the classroom a community space for students in this classroom as well as students who have club activities after school.
Access to these materials in a mostly digital setting allows students to have a way to ground in what can be an overstimulating environment, especially as seniors in high school who have many responsibilities to juggle.
As a first year teacher it meant so much for me to be able to set up my classroom in a way that feels exciting and welcoming. Thank you so much.”

Because we have since gotten beanbags in our classroom, we will be swapping the beanbags on this project for animation books that will help students understand the basics and foundations. It will provide a physical resource in a classroom that is mostly digital so this is greatly appreciated.
