  • Books Are the Gifts You Can Open Again and Again

    Funded Oct 6, 2024

    Thank you so

Much for the amazing book series! My kids love them and are over the moon with the abundance of Bad Kitty, Dog man and JakeDrake books. Sometimes The books are flying off the shelves in the classroom.

I've noticed improvement with readers creating mental pictures that of the story by learning the characters, setting, and problem in the first book. Each book in the series builds on this background knowledge, helping readers understand the events that come before.

Students have been improving on comprehension, developing their automaticity as the author often use similar vocabulary across books. My students are eager to read more books with the series.”

  • Let's Get Learning Rolling with a Rolling Easel!

    Funded Nov 9, 2024

Thank you so much for the rolling easel! The students love it ! At this point in the year we use it for every subject! During math we have using this easel to show our mathematical thinking. After that, students discuss based on the work students did on the easel. In addition the rolling easel has been a great tool in our Fundations instruction. It is magnetic so we use the easel to build words with our magnetic words on it.

The students love it! They were so excited to start using the dry erase markers to draw!

We will continue to use this easel daily within our daily academic instructions. It allows me a place to show my interactive thinking, allow student participation and easily give directions and prompts.

    Thank you”

  • Spread Love, the Brooklyn Way!

    Funded Sep 18, 2024

Thank you so much for the gracious donations. As this is my first year at this school, I did not have much supplies to begin my year. I did not have math manipulatives, tools, and games. The amount of phonics resources was scarce, as well as the basic classroom supplies such as pencils, dry erase markers, and the abundance of cleaning supplies was limited.

When students saw the math resources they were so excited and beaming with urgency to play. On Friday's students are thinking critically whilst playing math games. Students that are struggling with math concepts are using counters and the base ten blocks to add and subtract. Additionally, with the plethora of dry erase markers students are engaged with their whiteboards and the lessons are so interactive.

As we are moving into place value, the base ten blocks will definitely supplement the lessons, as well as the laminating sheets to help make long lasting centers.

Thank you so much for the starter package. You have really and truly made an impact in my students classroom experience, but also me.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Williams
