  • Snack Attack: Helping My Kids Stay Energized

    Funded Mar 2, 2025

On behalf of my students and the entire team, I want to express our heartfelt gratitude for your generous donation to support our efforts in providing food for our high school students. Your kindness has made a tangible difference in the lives of so many.

The new resources have been incredibly impactful. Our students are able to enjoy healthier, more balanced meals, which has had a positive effect on their focus and energy levels throughout the school day. We've been able to incorporate these meals into various classroom activities, helping students stay engaged and motivated.

One project that stands out is a group assignment where students worked together to research nutrition and create their own balanced meal plans. The discussions were lively, and students were thrilled to try new foods they hadn't experienced before. It was a wonderful moment for both learning and bonding!

When the students first saw the new materials, there were smiles all around. They were excited and grateful for the fresh, nutritious food provided, and it immediately sparked conversations about making healthier choices. Many students mentioned how much they appreciated the thoughtfulness behind these resources and how it made them feel cared for.

Once again, thank you for your generosity and for believing in the power of nourishing both minds and bodies. Your support is invaluable, and we are deeply grateful for it.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Gomez

  • Fuel Their Brains Through Their Stomach

    Funded Nov 8, 2024

The snack donations to my classroom have made a tremendous difference in supporting both my students and their learning experiences. These snacks provide a vital source of energy, helping students stay focused and engaged throughout the day, especially during long projects or after intense physical activities. When the snacks were first donated, my students were thrilled. Their faces lit up as they picked out their favorite treats, and it quickly became a fun incentive to motivate them. I've used the snacks to encourage participation, reward effort, and create a sense of community within the classroom, helping to foster a positive learning environment.

One specific project where the snacks played a key role was during a sports medicine unit, where students worked in groups to design a comprehensive treatment plan for common sports injuries. They researched different injuries, learned about various rehabilitation techniques, and practiced their knowledge by developing mock recovery plans. With the snacks available, students were able to stay energized and focused during lengthy research sessions and group discussions. The snacks became a small but meaningful token of appreciation, ensuring they had the stamina to complete their work and collaborate effectively.

Looking ahead, students are now preparing to present their sports medicine treatment plans to the class, incorporating both their research findings and practical applications. These presentations will give them the opportunity to showcase their understanding of injury prevention and rehabilitation. The snack donations continue to be a great motivator, and as we move into the next phase of the project, the students are eager to share their insights and demonstrate their newfound knowledge. The generosity of the donors has undoubtedly helped create an environment where my students are energized and excited to dive deeper into the world of sports medicine.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Gomez
