Brrrr... It's Cold Outside!
Funded Nov 17, 2024The project, "Brrrr... It's Cold Outside," was created for the health and wellness of our students. As a NYC Title I school, where nearly all of our students are from low-income households, we take great care in knowing that our students can walk to and from school each morning in appropriately warm clothing and feel comfortable traveling this winter. THANKS TO YOU... We now know that each student in our school is equipped with the hats, scarves and gloves they need to handle the frost of this winter! With your generosity we were able to make this happen. We are SO thankful and so are our students! Thank you a million!”

Don't Cry Over Spilled Milk!
Funded Oct 21, 2024The project, "Don't Cry Over Spilled Milk," impacted our school community in great ways. To begin, the project was designed to alleviate the anxiety, frustration or embarrassment students might feel when they have an accident of any sorts that soils their clothing. To be excluded, for a period of time, to clean up or wait for clothing is a burden for some students and causes some anxiety, thinking about what their peers are thinking while they're in the medical office or main office, how long until they feel comfortable again in clean and fresh clothing, are they any clothes for them to wear??? That was the problem we were faced with- Do we have the clothing for these moments? With your help we were able to buy the items students need, such as the undergarment clothing, pants, shirts, socks, etc... It is one less burden, one less trouble to go through when accidents happen... because accidents DO happen, to all of us! Being able to have clothing on hand in a school is very important- THANK YOU for helping us establish a supply for our students! We appreciate your generosity!”

Classroom Supplies to Keep Us All Organized
Funded Sep 1, 2024The organization cart was a great addition to the classroom resources and tools because it allowed me to provide a station for students to access every day materials with such a breeze. Fostering independence-building opportunities is great for students to build skills to be self-sufficient and also helps teachers attend to 25-30 students throughout the day because there is one less obstacle for the students to reach materials that they need in order to be successful in their learning. Whether they're going to the rainbow cart for scrap paper for mathematical calculations, grabbing tools for small group reading instruction, or borrowing from the extra art supplies, the cart is a place they can reach with their little bodies and growing minds. Thank you for supplying this for us! We appreciate you!”
