Funded Sep 2, 2024We are so grateful for the generous art supplies that were donated to our Pre-K classroom! These materials have already been put to great use. One of the first projects we worked on was a "Community Mural." The kids were able to use the new markers, crayons, paint, and construction paper to collaboratively create a mural that represents our neighborhood. They each contributed by drawing houses, trees, and people, while some even added little animals to their sections. This project allowed them to practice fine motor skills, express creativity, and learn about working together as a team. The new art supplies really helped bring their ideas to life!
When the kids first saw the new materials, their eyes lit up with excitement! They couldn't wait to start using the crayons, markers, and paints. Many of them immediately dove into coloring, experimenting with the new colors and textures. The response was pure joy—one child exclaimed, "Look at all the colors! I can make my rainbow even bigger!" It was wonderful to see how the donation sparked their creativity and enthusiasm for learning through art.
They used the new drawing and painting supplies to illustrate and write their own short stories. This will give them the opportunity to practice storytelling, creativity, and fine motor skills while exploring the exciting world of art. We're excited to see where their imaginations take them next! We couldn't have done this without you!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Taylor
