Hello, I am currently the English Language Learners counselor at Sutter Middle School. I work very closely with these students academically and emotionally. I work with their parents to find resources in our community. I am blessed to be on a campus where there is diversity in our staff to help me translate with parents and students. I also work closely with Folsom Hope (community agency) to help find mentors for these students. This year we have planned several field trips to the zoo, a local Mexican bakery, and a local bookstore. I visit the ELL classroom once a week for check ins and inform my students about our clubs on campus and sports. Every holiday I treat my students with a snack. I feel blessed to be able to work with these students especially at this unsettling time in our nation. I am excited to work on future projects with my students!
