Meeting Area Carpet
Funded Mar 26, 2025YOU DID IT!! I am so unbelievably grateful and shocked with how many people donated to support my classroom. Special thank you to my mom for spreading the word on facebook! I could cry thinking about my kids’ reaction and I can’t wait to show you all photos when it arrives. Funded Sep 18, 2024Thank you so much for donating these incredible books to my classroom. My students clapped and squealed when I unveiled each book from the box. It was so incredibly exciting to see these kids get so excited over books and reading.
I have already used many of these books to teach SEL lessons in my classroom, and can't wait to continue the rest of the year. I noticed some of my students were struggling with raising their hands and not blurting out in the middle of lessons. At this age, kids are developmentally very egocentric. Therefore, it's difficult to stop themselves from sharing exactly what they are thinking at all times. However, this creates chaos in the classroom if they were able to act upon this desire. I read, "My Mouth is a Volcano" by Julia Cook. The students responded very well to this read aloud and it has improved our self-control greatly.
I can't wait to continue using these books for enjoyment and learning. Thank you!!”

Funded Sep 2, 2024This donation project helped my class more than you could ever know. Organization is crucial in lower elementary grades. Last year, I attempted to use communal supplies, but that always caused arguments and issues. I knew I wanted to use pencil cases this year where each student could have their own supplies in their desks.
When we first got these pencil cases and I put each of their names on them, the students were so excited and felt such pride. They felt ownership over their personal items, which led to a wonderful lesson about responsibility.
Each student has a box of crayons, 3 pencils, and a big eraser in their pencil cases. This has made my life as a teacher so much easier! Thank you.”

Headphones and Tech!
Funded Dec 5, 2024Thank you so much for donating to support tech in my classroom. Headphones can be expensive and I’d much rather have my families spend their money on other things and supply my students with headphones. I am so proud to have such incredibly supportive and kind people donating to my classroom. It is not taken for granted, I promise. The kids are going to scream with excitement.”

STEM Bin Activities!
Funded Aug 30, 2024It would be impossible to explain the excitement my students had when our boxes began arriving. I built up the anticipation, noting that these were gifts from friends, family, and strangers who want them to have extra learning tools to use every day.
When we opened the boxes, I introduced each STEM activity one at a time. Each item got a huge round of applause and lots of excited giggles and personal anecdotes. I expressed to the students that these are very fun items, but we will be using them as TOOLS, not TOYS. We discussed the difference and decided that a tool is something that helps us with something. These tools will be helping us to improve fine motor skills, teamwork, communication, and lots of engineering and creativity skills.
We use these items in our STEM bins every single morning. When the kids arrive for school, I've noticed productivity and community is improved when we include a "soft start". This means they enter the classroom, unpack, and engage with the STEM bin at their desks until we join together as a class community for morning meeting. The students have already made such incredible creations and absolutely LOVE this time in the morning. Thank you for adding to my classroom magic!”
