Keeping It Straight
Funded Sep 18, 2024Thank you for supporting our program, Your generosity has been implemented into our curriculum on a daily basis. The students use all the tools in building their project, Rulers to build plans, tape measures and squares to build the physical project.
The rulers have been a great addition to the classroom, I have been able to score their plan more accurately now that they have straight lines and accurate measurements. I do this as part of the rubric for grading their final project.
The tape measures have been great to have, the students are not waiting for someone to finish with their measurements. Now they don't have any excuse for not getting their measurements done.
The squares have been great to implement into their projects, the students are getting used to using them on everything now, it's nice to see them checking for square, marking lines and using the angle guide when needed.
Thank you again for your generosity on supporting our program.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Miller

Funded Sep 23, 2024My students and I would really like to thank you for your generosity in helping us get the water cooler and the 5 gallon bottle that can be refilled. My students we're so excited to see the package arrive. They wanted to use it right away, but I had to get the bottle filled.
We use the cooler ever day the students have a shelf that they keep their cups on. Some of the students bring their Stanley cups to refill them for the rest of the day.
I'm refilling the 5 gallon jug about every 3 days now. Before we got the water cooler the students never drank out of the old style drinking fountain. I feel that this is a huge success.
Our custodial staff that cleans our rooms at night have been great at helping keep it clean and sanitized. They even love getting a nice cold fresh drink of water. Your generosity is being enjoyed by all. Thank you again for help :)”

Holding it Together & Smoothing Out the Edges
Funded Sep 6, 2024With great joy as the teacher I personally would like to thank you for your involvement in our classroom. With your willingness to give we we're able to receive some very useful items that we use almost daily in every class.
The students have been using the tools we received to build cutting boards, coasters, birdhouses, stepstools, couch tables. Christmas trees and snowflakes for our up coming dinner, there's even has been a large fish made.
The students didn't quite understand donors choose and what it is about. We took some time and explored this program and the students really got excited. They wanted to get busy right away.
I as the teacher am very excited to watch the students grow from this experience they have been coming up with more creative ideas. I'm now able to bring in more project plans to feed their ideas. Thank you again for supporting our woodshop program, the world is their future, and programs like this are helping them see the possibilities.”

Mr. Miller
Bringing Woodshop Back to Life
Funded Aug 26, 2024The students and myself are enjoying tools that we we're able to receive from your generous donation's. With your donations we have been able to complete 2 projects.
The students we're very eager to help open all the new boxes that had come into the shop. I explained where they all came from and the students didn't quite understand the program at first, so we took some time and went over what the program is and why it's so important to us. This lead to a very nice discussion on what they can do to help. The students wanted to jump right in and get to work using the new tools.
Our First project was a cutting board that the tape measures and the speed squares we're used every day. The students really took ownership in this project, so many of the students would come to class early just to get there projects out and wanted to get to work before the bell rang.
The Second Project that is about to be completed is a step stool. the tape measures, speed squares, drill bits and the kreg jig have been used on this project. The students have been challenged more on this project with more precise measurements and using tools they have never used before. Thank you again for your support to rebuilding our classroom.”

Mr. Miller
