  • Biology and Literacy: Books for Marine Biology

    Thank you so much for your incredible generosity in supporting our Marine Biology and AP Biology programs! Your donation has made it possible for our students to read inspiring books about the world all around them.

    As the books arrived, the students were immediately drawn to them. They have already started reading about sharks, looking at art that is inspired by biology, and asking about their final project! I've also had students request books on additional topics in biology. The AP Biology students are studying hard to prepare for their upcoming exam, and they are using the flashcards and supplemental resources every class period.

    Your contribution is not just helping them succeed in their current studies, but also giving them the foundation to pursue higher education in biology or simply to develop a lifelong curiosity about the natural world. We are deeply grateful for your belief in the power of education and for helping to make these opportunities possible.”

  • Mental Health Corner

    Funded Aug 26, 2024

    Thank you so much for funding the mental health corner. It has helped my students stay in class.

    Students who are having a hard day really appreciate having a comfortable chair in a private place to decompress. It has helped several students in crisis and many more students who just needed a break. About 20-30 students have already used the space, and I am currently rolling it out to more students.

    The students were so excited when they first saw the furniture, coloring materials, and fidgets. I was surprised that even the students who usually are more reserved were excited.
