9th Grade ELA Book
Funded Dec 1, 2024On behalf of the students and myself, I would like to extend our deepest gratitude for your generous donation toward acquiring new books for our classroom. Your support has allowed us to add a diverse and exciting selection of literature to our collection, including Salem's Lot by Stephen King, Delirium by Lauren Oliver, and Master Slave Husband Wife by Ilyon Woo. These books will make a profound impact on our students' education, fostering both critical thinking and a deeper understanding of complex themes like love, identity, and societal influence.
The inclusion of such varied works—ranging from thrilling supernatural narratives to historical nonfiction—will help bring new perspectives and connections to our curriculum, particularly when comparing them to classic literature such as Romeo and Juliet by Shakespeare. The contemporary settings and gripping storytelling styles resonates with students, encouraging them to explore different genres while still examining timeless themes of love, sacrifice, and human connection.
Your contribution plays an integral role in fostering a love of reading and learning, allowing students to engage with texts in a meaningful way. Thanks to your generosity, we're able to inspire young minds, helping them develop critical literacy skills and a lifelong appreciation for literature.
Thank you once again for your invaluable support. We look forward to the positive impact these books will have on our students, and we couldn't have done it without you.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Siegler
