    Thank you very much for your generous gifts. My students are excited about reading and they were amazed when we opened the boxes. I hear them discussing what books they will be reading and some have asked to take home books.

    They are also becoming better writers. I love the excitement. They are asked to read independently for 15 minutes at the start of the school day. They are asking to read even longer. After their work time they return to their books. They are excited to share how many chapters/books they have completed.
