Calculators for ALL!

Funded Sep 15, 2024

Now that my students have used both the calculators and dry erase markers, I can truly attest to how big of an impact they have made and how thankful we are to have access to these important learning tools.

My sixth grade Math classes love doing whiteboard work to show me their understanding, while my advanced math classes love using them for warm-ups. Markers can dry up fast, so having a large amount helps me continue to provide this type of learning activity. In the picture provided, we had a Thankfulness prompt, so I let them use the dry erase boards and markers to show what they're thankful for. I shared with my students how thankful I am for community members like you, who care about our school and our students enough to donate these tools.

The calculator donation was so generous! Having the same style of calculator helps me to teach students how to use functions, such as cube rooting, in a uniformed way. As pictured, I have the calculators in numbered pockets so that I can also teach my students how to be responsible and return the calculator they borrowed. I am so incredibly thankful for the donation you made to my classroom, which helps over 150 students. I am a newer teacher who is building up my classroom with tools like these that will help my students succeed!”

With gratitude,

Mrs. Parker
