  • Build Our Own Instruments!

    We cannot thank you enough for providing the supplies to create our own instruments and classroom manipulatives! The bells are on their way to student use, and Kindergarteners are getting excited for their end of the year DIY egg shaker project so they can keep making music all summer long. Pipe cleaners will help our older students expand their manipulative rhythm writing options, and practice shaping a quarter rest. These hands-on materials will make a huge impact on student musical learning this year and years into the future!”

  • Enough Instruments for All

    Funded Nov 28, 2024

    We cannot thank you enough for your contributions to get instruments into the hands of EVERY student at Tubman Elementary School! We have been using our egg shakers and tone blocks right away, to play along and interact with some of our favorite songs. We now have enough eggs that even with my kindergarten class which integrates with a self-contained kindergarten class, we have enough egg shakers for each student to participate. We are looking ahead to using the jingle clogs (which serve as early tambourines) and jingle bells in the coming months.
