  • Colorful Visuals For Learning!

    Thank you so much for donating a colored printer. I have used the printer to create learning games and reading centers for my students. Student played a memory game by matching cards with the meaning of the words. Other students used flash cards to practice reading their letters and sounds. During writing, students used a colored trick word wall to help them spell tricky words. They also used their anchor chart to help them in writing. The colors and visuals are helpful and engaging!

  • Cozy Rug For Our Learning Space!

    My 2nd graders started the school year with a cozy rug! They were so excited to see the rug in the classroom during the second week of school. When we entered the classroom that morning, I said, "sit on the rug for our morning meeting!". They yelled "rug?!" They are able to sit on their carpet spots happily ready to begin their day.

    This cozy rug is where most of our learning takes place! Student also prefer sitting on the rug to do their independent work rather than sitting at their table. We have been doing research by reading books online. The rug provides a cozy and open space for students to read!
