  • Lakeshore Learning Non-fiction Research Library for Third Graders

    Thank you, thank you, thank you for purchasing an amazing, incredible new research library for my third grade students! We are beyond excited! How I wish you could have seen the looks on my third graders faces as they watched me unwrap and organize each book in our library. Many students blurted out, "They bought these for us, why would they do that for us? They don't even know us." I told them, because there are still incredibly kind and generous people in the world like those who work at the Schoen Foundation, who care about your education!

    My students cannot wait to use their new books and begin their first research projects on the solar system this November. We will begin our projects with a field trip to the Fiske Planetarium in Boulder, Colorado and then students will begin their own planet research using the wonderful new library you purchased for them.

    I cannot thank you enough for providing quality research texts at all reading levels for my students--making research accessible for all! You truly make all the difference in the world for my third graders! They can't wait to work hard and conduct their own research to make you proud!”

  • Headphones for Miss A's Third Grade

    Thank you so very much for purchasing a class set of headphones for my third grade students! You have made a profound difference in their educational experience. Often student are not able to afford basic school supplies like headphones, and as a result cannot fully access all of the technology offered to their via their google chromebooks.

    As a result of your kindness and generosity all students now have equal access to technology in my classroom. Students are able to take online assessments which greatly contributes to their academic growth and technology skills. Students are also able to participate in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) challenges and games. They are able to conduct research and explore a vast variety of learning opportunities that they were previously unable to join in on.

    My students especially love the bright colors of the headphones, and that they can each have their own set of them. They love literacy center and math center time when they can use them in class each day. It is also so much easier for me as a teacher to administer state and national assessments. We cannot thank you enough for changing our whole learning environment this year!”
