Snacks Needed for School Nurse’s Health Office

Your generous donations filled my drawers with much needed snacks for my school's diabetic student who often needs to eat something to bring her blood sugars back up to safe levels and students who come in with stomach aches caused by hunger or are nauseated and need saltine crackers and water.
Of course, I get students who want to grab a snack from the nurse's office because they've heard about this wonderful feature. And that's ok, I don't turn kids away. I want them to know the nursing office is a safe haven and they can find warmth, food, water, kindness, and a caring heart.
So thank you from the bottom of my caring heart to the bottom of your caring hearts! My nursing office is one of the highlight of our school thanks to wonderful and thoughtful donors like you!”
