Books for Our Elementary School

The funding you were generous enough to give me was just what I needed to acquire a lot of exciting new books for the kids at my school. I am the librarian for an elementary school library, so I selected a range of books across different grade levels and topics that would appeal to kids, from 6 to 11 year olds. There was a lot of excitement around the mysterious boxes that appeared in the library a week ago, after I placed them on the tables and welcomed the kids to unbox the brand new books. In my opinion, it's important to show kids that they're not neglected, that they're not stuck with old and busted materials at school, that there are generous people out there invested in their literacy and that they have people cheering on their growth. These books touch on everything from Hindu mythology to emotional resilience to language history to disability justice to cute sleeping animals. I've already seen them curl up in our cozy corner with these books to read them with our library plushies. It's been very nice to see them engaged and competitive over the new books. Thank you so much, again, for giving me this opportunity.”
