I teach at Mark Twain High School, an alternative high school in San Diego, CA, where many students face challenges such as low socioeconomic status, trauma, food insecurity, and the lingering effects of COVID-19. My students work hard to catch up on credits and earn their high school diplomas, despite balancing school with family responsibilities. I support a diverse group, including multilingual learners and students with disabilities, and am dedicated to providing a safe, welcoming space where they can learn, grow, and achieve their goals. Your support will equip them with the tools they need to thrive academically and emotionally and earn their high school diploma.
