Bubble Bouncing to Excellence!
Funded Sep 14, 2010On behalf of my students, I would like to thank you all for your generosity in funding our project. We have only been using the WittFitt Stability Balls for one week. We received them just before the holiday break. However, I can tell you that the students are excited about the balls. They enjoy sitting on them and having some mobility while being given instruction. As the weeks of school resume after our holiday break, and the students resume use of the balls, I am sure that their attention and effort will continue to improve in the classroom.
I have already seen my slumping student sit straight and smile while using the ball. The students have been featured on a hallway bulletin board, sitting on the balls and displaying their first assignment associated with the balls. Each student posted the history of the stability ball from its beginnings in Europe, to their use in our classroom. As a result, other students and staff have been stopping by our classroom asking the students about the balls. The students enthusiastically tell people about them and why they are using them in the class. The attention alone has been a great boost to the self-esteem and confidence of this special student population.
Thank you all again, and have a wonderful holiday season and a great year in 2011. Thanks to you, we will.”

White Boards For Small Special Education Groups
Funded Nov 25, 2007I feel exceptionally blessed to have this proposal granted. This is a great asset to my classroom and my teaching style. That is, I like my students to be involved in their learning process. My students like to write on the board. However, when we are in groups, this is not always logistically practical. Having the white board makes this approach to teaching and learning much more doable. Thank you, thank, you, thank you. Your generosity is accepted with abundant thanks”

You generosity is abundantly received and I am abundantly thankful. It will make my job easier when teaching paragraph writing, narrative and expository writing and book report writing and just about anything that relates to writing skills more fun and interesting to my students”
