Hands-On Fun
Funded Dec 13, 2024Thank you for supporting my goal in providing art activities for my students to use during their free time. I previously built up a supply of STEM activities to encourage their science side, but I wanted to offer diverse options in order to support well rounded opportunities.
Many of our students are low income and do not always have access to these materials. I love being able to provide them with access to materials they wouldn't know about and give them the ability to try something they may love and not know it!
I really appreciate the support in my goal to provide opportunities to my students.”

Sitting on the Floor is for Kids!
Funded Dec 30, 2024Thank you so much for helping my class purchase the sitting desks. They are a wonderful addition to our classroom. So many of the students enjoy working on the floor or in our classroom library area, however before they would either use the floor as a writing surface or clipboards. These new seats allow students to sit comfortably in many ways and use the attached desk space to write on.
When choosing them, I was excited for the different possibilities that they offered and the quantity purchased as a set allowed me to share them with my co-teacher and our corresponding special education teacher. Not only does my class get the benefit of using them, but our entire 4th grade does as well.
Thank you for providing an amazing opportunity for my students to learn and grow as humans and supporting their well being as small humans.”

Working Through Our Wiggles
Funded Aug 30, 2024Thank you so much for purchasing the wobble feet for my classroom! The kids absolutely love them, and they prevent kids from leaning back in their chairs. Every morning the kids come in and rush to grab them. We ensure everyone who wants a turn gets one during the week.
The kids were so excited, but we only got one set delivered to start. That set was a hot ticket item until we finally got the other five sets. We could probably have four to five more sets of them to ensure everyone who wants to use them can do so daily. The rest of the teachers in my school are jealous! This is something they will be looking into as well.
Thank you for your support, it is much appreciated by myself and my students.”

Mini Classroom STEM Lab
Funded Aug 28, 2024Thank you so much for helping me complete my STEM lab project for my 4th graders. They have been obsessed with the Circuit Kit and Lego Mazes. The other sets have not been introduced into the classroom yet but will be soon! I was waiting for the excitement to wain a bit with the circuit boards, but it has not. I purchased a second set because the kids are so obsessed with playing with them.
We have a high population of low-income families and most do not have the opportunity to provide such materials for their children to play with. The overall reading level amongst my students is also low. Providing them with opportunities to explore the world through reading and discovery is crucial. There are limited pictures included in the instructions, so the students have to work on their reading AND comprehend the diagrams. It's been a successful tool.
I have created centers dedicated to the Edison Robots and Lego Spike Set. I will be able to introduce both sets to the students in the next couple of weeks now that the centers are prepared. They are unaware of the additions and I am very excited to share it with them!!”
