End Period Poverty: Support Stall's Clinic

Funded Sep 7, 2024

Due to a variety of social barriers, menstrual hygiene products can be nearly impossible to access for the majority of students and families that our school serves. This is called period poverty. On a national level, 1 in 5 students who menstruate reported struggling to afford period products and 4 in 5 either missed or knew someone who missed school because they did not have access to period products. Unfortunately, government benefits do not cover the cost of these necessary supplies. Period poverty is pervasive in my school and contributes to decreased academic achievement, graduation rates, and participation in sports and other extracurriculars.

I'd like to give you peek into how your donation has impacted our students and give you some of their direct words of gratitude.

"Because I have as many pads as I need now, I was able to go out for cross country. I used to have to ration my pads for school and use a washcloth after school."

"The pads are big enough for me and last long enough so I don't worry about bleeding through in class."

"The pads are big enough for me and actually fit my body. My family couldn't afford these if they tried."

"Having actual pads has helped me not have UTIs from using other stuff."

"My mom was able to go to work when she had her period."

Thank you for your contribution towards ending the public health crisis of period poverty. We love you.”

With gratitude,

Ms. Kat
