Visualizing History: Enriching Holocaust Education with Maus
Funded Nov 10, 2024I wanted to take a moment to express our heartfelt thanks for your generous donation of the class set of MAUS: Visualizing History. This incredible gift has deeply enriched our classroom, and I cannot fully convey how impactful it has been for our students.
The class has been truly inspired by the resilience and courage portrayed in MAUS. The graphic novel's powerful storytelling has sparked thoughtful discussions about survival, memory, and the human spirit in the face of unspeakable tragedy. It has opened up a space for our students to deeply reflect on the horrors of the Holocaust while honoring the strength of those who lived through it.
Thanks to your generosity, we're taking the next step in our learning journey. Our class will be visiting the Holocaust Museum LA as part of our field trip, where we will continue to deepen our understanding of this tragic chapter in history. Through this experience, we aim to carry forward the important message of "Never Again"—to remember, educate, and ensure that the lessons of the Holocaust are never forgotten.
Your donation has not only provided us with essential resources but has also empowered us to engage with history in a meaningful and transformative way. We are deeply grateful for your support in helping us bring this important lesson to life.”
With gratitude,

Funded Nov 9, 2024I am writing to express our deepest gratitude for your generous donation of the Brother Scan and Cut machine. Your support has made an incredible impact on our students, helping to enrich their learning experience and empower them to explore their creativity in exciting new ways.
The machine has enabled students to design and create vinyl stickers, which has been a wonderful avenue for them to express themselves while also promoting health and wellness. Through hands-on work, students have learned not only the technical aspects of design but also how to bring their ideas to life—fostering both creativity and confidence.
By engaging with this tool, students have gained valuable skills in design, problem-solving, and collaboration, all while working with a medium that promotes both artistic expression and awareness. The opportunity to create personalized, health-related stickers has sparked conversations about self-care and well-being, allowing students to connect with the message of wellness in a fun and impactful way.
We cannot thank you enough for your contribution to their growth and success. Your donation has truly made a lasting difference in their educational journey, and we are excited to see the continued impact it will have.”

Funded Oct 9, 2024On behalf of the entire James Monroe Senior High School community, I want to express our deepest gratitude for your generous donation of paint, brushes, and trays. Your support has made an incredible impact on our school, particularly in our outdoor garden space.
With your contribution, students were able to transform the garden into a vibrant, creative environment. Through their artwork, the students not only beautified the space but also had the opportunity to express themselves in meaningful ways. The project became a collective effort, with each class invited to leave their unique mark, adding a sense of pride and ownership to the space.
Thanks to you, our garden is no longer just a garden—it is a living canvas that will inspire creativity for years to come. We are excited to see how future generations of students will continue to add their artistic footprint and engage with this special place.
Once again, thank you for helping us turn this vision into a reality. Your generosity is making a lasting difference in the lives of our students and the community as a whole.
Warm regards,”
With gratitude,
Ms. De La Rosa
