I’ve been blessed for 30 years to do what I love, teaching special needs children. I have never felt the need to ask for help in acquiring my school supplies. My students are resilient, strong, intelligent, and perseverant. They deserve nothing but the best. Times have changed. I am currently without a contract and just can’t do it this year!
Just know they appreciate it all. You would not believe the smile these teenagers ( They are still kids!) get when they get a scratch and sniff sticker or are comfortable to ask me for a snack because they are hungry and don’t have. A “prize” for some is recognition of positivity they may not get anywhere else.
Thank you.
