  • Consolidation of Previous Projects: Safe Heating Elements

    Funded Nov 13, 2024

We did it! Our school will now have the equipment it needs for exploratory lab exercises. Specifically, we will have what we need to meet the requirements of dual enrollment chemistry courses.

These pieces of equipment will last for a long time, so they can be uses year after year.”

    With gratitude,

    Dr. Hadley

This classroom project was brought to life by Young Sheldon and 6 other donors.
  • Help Us Set Up a Chemistry Lab!

    Funded Jul 22, 2024

We have been able to have some actual labs. Still need things to ensure better results and improve safety, but this is definitely a step in the right direction.

We have been able to accurately measure masses, we have been using the crucibles for heat related experiments, and other things of that sort.

I am planning out other labs when we get to more "hand on" level content later in the future. For example, last year we could not really do an accurate experiment with baking soda/vinegar rockets. The scales will allow them to see the "math" in action.”

    With gratitude,

    Dr. Hadley
