Getting Comfy and Cozy in Personal Finance/ACT Prep
Funded Sep 4, 2024Thank you so much for your generous support of our "Getting Comfy and Cozy in Personal Finance/ACT Prep" project! Your kindness has truly transformed our classroom into a warm, welcoming space where students feel comfortable and excited to learn. With your contributions, we were able to add lamps, rugs, birthday bracelets, inspirational posters, and other thoughtful touches that make our classroom feel like a home away from home. These enhancements have not only brightened the physical space but have also created a positive and engaging atmosphere for our students to thrive.
When my students walked into the classroom and saw the new materials for the first time, their smiles said it all. One student immediately exclaimed, "It feels like a coffee shop in here!"—a place where they felt at ease and ready to focus. The cozy rugs and warm lighting have made small-group discussions during ACT prep less stressful, allowing students to open up and collaborate more effectively. The birthday bracelets have become a special tradition, helping each student feel valued and celebrated on their special day. One particularly memorable moment occurred during a recent personal finance activity, where students practiced budgeting in a calm and inspiring environment made possible by the updates. They shared that the space made them feel more motivated to tackle challenging concepts.
Thanks to your generosity, we are continuing to use these resources to foster both academic and personal growth. Currently, my students are preparing for their next ACT practice test while exploring real-world financial planning in class. These lessons require focus and perseverance, and the welcoming environment has made all the difference in keeping them engaged and confident. Your support has not only provided materials but has also shown my students that there are people who believe in their success. Thank you for investing in their futures—you have made a lasting impact!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Frye
