  • Math Facts With Some Twists

    Funded Aug 14, 2024

Thank you so much for your kindness in helping me obtain materials for my math students. Having fact fluency is such an important building block to learn more advanced math concepts that are taught to every student.

Thanks to your donation, my students have several ways to build their fact fluency which allows them to find the method that works best for them. These materials have even helped open my eyes further to the knowledge that every brain works in its own beautifully unique way. Your generous donations have nurtured the uniqueness of my students' brains and I am forever grateful for that.

    Thanks once again.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Peterson

  • Making Math More Fun

    Funded Aug 14, 2024

Thank you so much for your kindness in contributing to my project. I have been using the materials you helped provide with my small group students and they absolutely love them. They get excited when I pull them from study hall and almost every time they see me they ask if I'll be taking them that day. Even students who I haven't pulled for a small group ask if I'll take them some time. It's amazing to see kids get so excited about something that is not only fun, but also builds their math knowledge.

    Thank you once again.”

  • Promoting Academic Success in a Safe and Comfortable Environment

    Funded Jul 19, 2024

Thank you so much for your help in making my classroom a place where my students feel welcome, safe, and comfortable. My students absolutely love the space I was able to create thanks to your generosity.

In the beginning of the school year I brought small groups of my younger students to my room to conduct NWEA testing. After they finished their tests I would allow them to take a few minutes to relax in the alternative seating areas before taking them back to their homerooms. When I would see those students in the hallway days or even weeks later, they would ask if they could come visit my room again...even though the majority of their time spent in my room up to that point was spent doing something I wouldn't exactly call fun. Those few minutes they were able to relax and decompress after a hard task really made a difference in how they saw that experience.

Now we regularly use the alternative seating we received for various small group and individual activities. Having this space provides my students with a place where they can feel safe and at ease which is an aspect of being able to learn that is sometimes overlooked. Thank you so much for helping me give this to them.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Peterson
