Lost School to Eaton Fires and Need Help to Rebuild
Funded Mar 26, 2025Thank you again from the bottom of my heart. My heart was broken when I lost my classroom, but broke even more when my students shared how sad they were to lose their classroom and sometimes both their classroom and home. I was touched to hear from previous donors and old coworkers/students, and I couldn't have done it without the new donors. These items well help rebuild a classroom for my students for the next school year. I cannot express enough gratitude for your unbelievable generosity and kindness. Sending lots of love.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Alice
First Year Teaching First Graders
Funded Jul 29, 2024Thank you so much for your generous donations. It made such a big difference to my first grade class. Being a first year teacher with very limited resources and funding, I was worried about being able to prepare a proper classroom for my littles. With your help I was able to create an effective and welcoming learning environment.
As my room had limited table top and storage space, the chair pockets were excellent for students' folders and materials. The caddies allowed me to nicely bundle table materials like crayons and pencils. The students are able to independently grab these for their table with ease. The 10 drawer cart ensures I am always prepared and organized. With it, I prep and store lessons for the week. I also use them for easily accessible emergency sub plans. I use the trays and dry erase pockets for rotating work stations. I use the manipulatives and toys for weekly choice time. The kids particularly love the kinetic sand and magnetic tiles.
I thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. My classroom has not only been used as an example for other teachers, but school tours often go through my classroom. I couldn't have done it without you!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Alice
