Snacks for Smarts
Funded Sep 16, 2024Thank you all so much! I wouldn't be able to do this job without your unwavering support. The first thing my kids ask when they come into class is if I have snacks, thanks to you all, I get to say yes!
The food gets them excited and helps fuel their brains so they can understand the lesson. I also use the candy as an extra incentive. If they come up and do a problem on the board or offer to explain something, they get a piece of candy. It has worked wonders in my classroom!
Kids are comfortable participating and are motivated by the candy. It also keeps them on their best behavior because they know I won't give it to them if they haven't been on task or disrespectful.
Thanks again!”

Funded Sep 11, 2024Thank you so much for your continued support! My kids absolutetly loved the snacks and the bean bags :). One of the first things they always ask is if I have any snacks. Thanks to you all, I get to say yes!
I also got some candy as part of this. I use the candy as an incentive for when they are on task and going above and beyond. I often ask kids to come show their work on the white board after bell work. For those who come up and do it, they get a piece of candy! I also offer additional candy for those who can explain the steps. It has been a great motivator and has made a huge difference in my classroom.
The bean bags are a HUGE hit. Everyday I pull popsicle sticks to see who gets to sit in them for the day. The kids ask about it as soon as they walk in and often want to help pull the sticks. It creates excitement which leads to a better learning environment.”

Funded Sep 5, 2024Thank you so much for everything!! Your support means the world.
The first thing my students ask when they come into my room is "Miss, do you have snacks?" and thanks to you guys, I get to say yes! Your contribution gives my kids the fuel they need to make it through the day with a smile on their face.
It improves their mood and helps them focus more. This is absolutely everything during school, especially during math class. It also is a great incentive for them to come up and do work at the board, since I always give candy & special treats to those who show their work :)
I cannot thank you all enough for your continued support!!”

Funded Jul 22, 2024This project had such a wonderful impact on my students. It really helped me to start the school year off on the right foot.
They absolutely loved the play dough and fidget toys. The playdough was an especially big hit and they're already asking for more since some has dried off. Keep in mind that I do teach 10th grade so I was surprised that they enjoy it as much as they do.
The number 1 question I get asked is "Miss do you have snacks?" so being able to provide for them in that way has been amazing as well. I want to create the most ideal learning environment. You're not you when you're hungry!”
