Funded Oct 23, 2024My students and I would like to thank you for this generous donation. I never knew clay was going to be the most requested medium for middle schoolers. Every single time a box arrived, the students faces lit up with excitement. When students are excited about art, it makes teaching art easier. Not that it is easy by any means, but it relieves the pressure and the time it takes to convince them why art is important.
So far, we have used the air dry clay in my 6th grade art club. The pottery tools were so helpful. Many of them could not get the forms they wanted to by simply using their hands. Unfortunately, I did not get any photos of these. As soon as they painted them, they were quick to take them home to show them off! We appreciate your contribution.”

Ms. I’s First-Year Art Classroom
Funded Sep 20, 2024Receiving this support when it comes to materials and resources has made my first year teaching 100% better! It is such a relief to not worry about if we have enough paper or if we will run out of paint mid-project. For the first semester, my students had a blast experimenting with oil pastels, acrylic paint, and collages. Some students shared with me that they have never used these materials before. You can imagine their faces when they saw the materials set up in front of them! It was such a delight.
The projects in the photos I shared are from the oil pastel projects I did with 6th-8th grade. We learned how to use oil pastels first through a technique worksheet. Then, we created "neon" signs of our favorite quotes. They turned out so well. My students were so proud!
I am beyond thrilled for the upcoming semester. These materials are serving us well. You'd be surprised how excited 6th graders are when they see a fresh pack of markers! Thank you for supporting first year teachers. You have impacted my experience of the education world in a positive way.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Ifland
This classroom project was brought to life by Cheez-it, Harps, and CFP Foundation.Creativity Has No Limits!
Funded Nov 12, 2024As an art educator, advocating for supplies and new sources of creation is an important part of the job. I feel so blessed to have supporters like you to make that aspect easier. As an artist myself I am always resourcing through recyclables and lost and found objects. The cardboard box and toilet paper roll collections pile up. However, it is refreshing to surprise my students with new things, whether that is quality watercolor paper instead of copy paper or aprons so they don't ruin their favorite shirt. It brings joy to my teacher heart to see these kiddos receive the supplies they deserve and need to create art.”
