Thank you so much for your generous donations and support for our classroom! • Expressing Through Art: Supporting Immigrant and English Learners' Growth

    Funded Sep 9, 2024

Wow—thank you so much for making this project happen! When my students first saw the new art supplies, their eyes lit up like it was a holiday. They couldn't wait to dive in, and honestly, I've never seen them this eager to get started on a project.

For many of my students, especially those learning English or adjusting to a new country, art has become a way to express themselves when words don't always come easily. A few students have been using sketching as a way to de-stress. It's been incredible to watch them open up, share their stories, and build confidence through creativity.

With everything going on in the world right now, having this creative outlet means so much. It's more than just art—it's a way for them to process, connect, and feel seen. And that's all because of you.

Thank you for believing in my students and for giving them this space to express themselves. Your kindness has made such a difference, and we are beyond grateful!”

  • Mental Health and Social-Emotional Well Being in Highschool

    Funded Aug 12, 2024

I can't thank you enough for your generosity in supporting our Mental Health and Social-Emotional Well-Being in High School project. Because of you, my students now have access to resources that help them navigate the ups and downs of high school life—and let me tell you, it's already making a difference.

The first time they saw the new materials, there was this mix of curiosity and excitement. One student flipped through a mindfulness journal and said, "Wait... so we get to use these?" Another grabbed a stress-relief tool and consistently uses them every day. But beyond the laughs, there was a real sense of relief—like they finally had permission to pause, breathe, and take care of themselves.

Since then, we've been making these resources a part of our daily routine. We start class with reflection prompts that get students thinking about their emotions in a way they usually don't in school. Brain breaks and mindfulness activities have become a favorite—one student even told me, "I never realized how much I needed this until now." These small moments are adding up, creating a classroom culture where students feel supported not just academically, but as people.

And this is just the beginning. We're planning to dive deeper into emotional resilience, stress management, and self-care strategies that students can carry with them for life. Thanks to you, they have tools that make that possible.

From the bottom of my heart, and on behalf of my students—thank you. Your kindness is shaping their high school experience in ways that truly matter”

  • Mental Health Through Art Therapy

    Funded Aug 12, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous contributions to our "Mental Health Through Art Therapy" project. The materials you provided—paints, ceramics, and other art supplies—have completely transformed the way my students engage with art. When the supplies arrived, the excitement in the room was overwhelming! Students couldn't wait to get their hands on the clay, explore new techniques and tools for the first time. For many, it was their first experience working with ceramics, and the joy and curiosity on their faces were unforgettable.

One of the most profound moments came during a ceramics project where students created personalized pieces symbolizing their emotions or experiences. Some crafted intricate bowls and mugs, while others made abstract sculptures that told their stories in a deeply personal way. Students shared how shaping and molding the clay helped them relax and channel their thoughts. Many described the process as therapeutic, saying it gave them a sense of calm after a long and often stressful day at school.

This project has also provided students with the opportunity to give back to the community. They are working on a collaborative ceramic piece—a display that represents themes of resilience and creativity, to be shared during a school event. This experience has instilled a sense of pride and ownership in their work, showing them that their creativity can have a lasting impact on the wider world.

Your support has made all of this possible. These materials have given my students a safe space to explore their creativity, improve their emotional well-being, and develop new skills they never imagined they had. Looking ahead, I am eager to see how they continue to grow, express themselves, and inspire others through their art.

Thank you for believing in my students and for helping to bring this vision to life. You have made an immeasurable impact, not only on their education but on their hearts and minds.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Gonzalez

  • History Election Campagin

    Funded Jul 2, 2024

I cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible impact your generosity has had on my classroom. When my students first saw the vibrant markers, fresh easel paper, and detailed history and government posters, their excitement was palpable. Their eyes lit up as they realized they now had the tools to bring their ideas to life and explore history in a more hands-on, creative way. These materials have truly transformed how we engage with US History.

One particularly memorable moment was during our "History Election Campaign" project. Students worked in groups to create campaign posters, slogans, and presentations for their historical candidate simulations. Using the easel paper and markers, they brainstormed their platforms and designed vibrant, persuasive materials. The government posters served as a key reference, sparking discussions about the election process and the role of government in history. Watching them collaborate, debate, and create was inspiring—students who were often quiet in class found their voices and contributed enthusiastically.

What has touched me the most is how my students constantly share how much they love being in my classroom. They often tell me it feels like a safe and welcoming place—a space where they can express themselves, collaborate, and find information or guidance when they need it. This project has strengthened that sense of connection, creating an environment where they not only learn history but feel valued and supported.

The skills they've developed—teamwork, creativity, and critical thinking—will serve them well far beyond this classroom. Looking ahead, we plan to build on this success by integrating more project-based activities, such as debates and interactive timelines, to deepen their understanding of historical and civic concepts. Thanks to your support, my students are not only learning history but experiencing it in a way that feels meaningful and memorable.

Thank you for investing in their education and in our classroom's future.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Gonzalez
