  • A New Tenor Saxophone for Our Band!

    Funded Dec 23, 2024

    Thank you so much for your generosity for helping to fund the procurement of our new tenor saxophone! It means a lot to our students, our music program, and the school.

    It has gone to good use already! Almost immediately upon receipt of the instrument, a Freshman student, Alyssa, who played tenor for a short time during middle school, "adopted" the instrument, and has been practicing feverishly since.

    Starting in September, our hybrid Concert/Jazz will now have two tenor saxophonists, as our one of our flautists has expressed the desire to switch to tenor saxophone. We will now be able to play more of our Jazz/Big Band charts which are written for two tenors.

    Thank you again! With any luck we will also be adding a French Horn to our inventory of instruments in service of our students for the Fall 2025 semester.”

  • New Flutes For Our Music Students

    Funded Jun 30, 2024

    Thank you for your generous support towards supplying our music students with three new flutes. They immediately went to good use and are being used by our student flute players on a daily basis.

    The students were very excited about receiving new instruments. Most of our existing inventory of flutes were quite old, with numerous issues.

    I think our flute players have felt motivated to practice more than ever before with the addition of brand new instruments. It sent the students a message that people out in the world really care about their abilities and progress in music. With at least two of our flute students, I have noticed a marked improvement in their commitment to practice and performance.”
