Stools for Small Groups
Funded Nov 12, 2024Thank you so much for your generous donation toward our classroom project. Your contribution has provided us with new stools for small group instruction and assessment, and I can't even begin to express how much of a difference they've made in our learning environment.
We've already begun using the stools in a variety of ways, but one of the most exciting moments was during our literacy centers. The new stools allow students to comfortably gather in small groups, where we can have more focused, interactive discussions about the texts we're reading.
When the students first saw the stools, there was an immediate sense of excitement! Many of them commented on how much more comfortable the space felt. They were thrilled by the idea of having a dedicated area for small group work where they could sit close to one another and interact more easily with the materials.
Looking ahead, we are continuing to use the stools for more assessment-based activities. The small group setting is perfect for one-on-one check-ins, small-group assessments, and even peer tutoring. Students are now able to feel more confident when it's time for individual feedback or to collaborate on problem-solving tasks. These stools have made our classroom feel more dynamic and intentional, providing the space we need to help students thrive.
Your support has truly transformed how we approach learning, and we're so excited to see where the students go from here. Thank you again for helping make this possible!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Kramer

Funded Jun 21, 2024I want to take a moment to share the incredible impact your generous contributions towards a kidney table have had on our classroom.
How We're Using this new resource: The kidney table has become a central hub for collaborative learning. Recently, we have been utilizing the kidney table for small group instruction during reading centers. They students sit around the table comfortably with adequate space for their workbooks, notebooks, and other supplies. This setup has encouraged communication and teamwork, allowing every voice to be heard. One moment that stood out was when a student who is normally quiet and doesn't contribute to class discussions, shared their unique perspective. This was because of the intimate safe space the kidney table has helped create.
Students' Reactions: When my students first saw the kidney table, their eyes lit up with excitement! They immediately recognized it as a space for collaboration. I could see their imaginations kick into high gear as they knew this would be a space for brainstorming and growing. It was especially nice to have students from my class last year come visit and immediately notice the kidney table and admire it, making comments like, "I wish we had this last year".
Next Steps in Our Current Project: Looking ahead, we're diving deeper into our writing projects. The next phase involves using the kidney table as a space to conference with students one on one about their writing pieces, focusing on areas of success and improvement in their writing. This will not only enhance their understanding of what makes a successful writing piece, but also foster their creativity and critical thinking skills.
Thank you for believing in our students and contributing to a space where they can thrive. Your support has made a tangible difference in their learning experience, and I can't wait to share more successes with you!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Kramer
