I’m blown away at your incredible generosity, thank you so much!!! I can’t wait to share all the creativity your gift will inspire. It will go so far beyond the classroom. ❤️❤️❤️
You are all proof there is so much good in this world. My student artists say you are all so sigma.”
The students were so excited to get new beads and beading supplies, and the new weaving tools made it so easy to teach new weaving techniques. They got used a lot during Hispanic Heritage Month. We have a lot of students whose families originally come from Latin America and it was great for them to learn how much that part of the world contributed to the arts.
The students learned about Peruvian weaving and "quipus" which was a system of knots used in place of written language in the Incan empire. Together we created weavings and a class quipu and exhibited them at an event for incoming 5th graders.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Messenger
