  • LEGO Art Quest: Bridging Creativity and STEM Innovation

    Funded Nov 6, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous donation to our "LEGO Art Quest: Bridging Creativity and STEM Innovation" project! Your support has opened up amazing new opportunities for our students to explore art in fun and exciting ways. In our art class, we've been using the LEGO sets to create sculptures, designs, and scenes that combine imagination with artistic skills. One of the projects that the kids loved was designing colorful mosaics with the LEGO bricks. They learned about patterns, color theory, and symmetry while building their own unique designs, and it was wonderful to see how they each brought their creativity to life in their own way.

When the students first saw the LEGO kits, they were absolutely thrilled! They couldn't wait to start building, and it sparked so much excitement in the classroom. It was amazing to see them work together, helping each other with ideas and experimenting with the pieces. For some students who might usually shy away from traditional art materials, the LEGO bricks gave them the confidence to jump in and create something new. It's been a joy to watch them grow as artists and see how the LEGO sets have made learning art even more fun and interactive.

In the coming weeks, we'll be using the LEGO pieces to create 3D art sculptures inspired by famous artists. The students will use the bricks to replicate famous works of art or create their own sculptures that reflect their personal style. Thanks to your support, these young artists are not only learning about art techniques, but also developing their problem-solving and teamwork skills as they build together.”

    With gratitude,

  • Suminagashi Marbling Art Lesson and Centers Activity

    Funded Jul 6, 2024

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks for your generous contributions toward our suminagashi classroom supplies. Your support has truly made a difference in the lives of my students and the creative atmosphere of our classroom.

Since receiving the supplies, my students and I have been diving into the art of suminagashi, and it has been a joy to witness their excitement. Just last week, we completed a project where each student created their own unique marbled paper designs. It was wonderful to see their faces light up as they watched the ink swirl and transform into beautiful patterns right before their eyes. Many of them expressed a sense of awe and wonder at how something so simple could create such stunning art.

When the materials first arrived, the students were absolutely thrilled! They rushed over, eyes wide with curiosity, eager to touch and explore everything. It was a moment filled with laughter and enthusiasm as they began experimenting with the inks and papers. Their joy was contagious, and it set a vibrant tone for our lessons.

Looking ahead, we plan to integrate our suminagashi creations into a larger project where students will combine their marbled papers with collage. This will not only enhance their artistic skills but also allow them to express their thoughts and feelings creatively.

Thank you once again for your incredible generosity and for believing in our project. Your support has provided my students with resources that inspire creativity and foster a love for learning. We can't wait to share more of our artistic journey with you!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. De La Milera
