A Calm Place to Improve Mental Health
Funded Aug 15, 2024First of all, I would like to thank you all for donating in our classroom. It made a great deal and great addition in our classroom. We would also like to extend our deepest gratitude for your generous donation of materials to support mental health and well-being.At first the students were very confuse on what I was putting together. Then the students were very happy and very excited to use all the donations you have made.
I am a special education teachers, and some of students are easily dis-regulated and are having hard time regulating their emotions. Some are non-verbal and some get really anxious. With all your donations, students are able to use them to calm themselves. Some even ask me if they can have it and I gave it to them because it seems to help them. Also, students who are non-verbal and have sensory needs, when we give them some of the fidgets and some warmies, it helps them calm down. The impact of your donation created a positive, safe and welcoming environment in my classroom.
Your thoughtful contribution of items like warmies, a bean bag chair, fidgets, kinetic sand, and other comforting materials will have a profound impact on those who need it most. They have really enjoyed every single things that is part of calming corner space. They have been using the corner to relax after a classwork and before we start our work time. They have use the fidgets when they are feeling or anxious. The bean bags were also as social so that they can talk to their friends when they need to. The divider is very useful because when some students are feeling overwhelm I am able to create a safe place fro them to sit and not be bothered by other students.
The next step for my classroom is to learn more about mental health and how we can help each other and how we can help ourself. We are going to continue to learn the importance of mental health and other coping methods.
In a time when mental health awareness is more crucial than ever, your donation offers a sense of comfort, relaxation, and stress relief to individuals who are navigating difficult challenges. These items will not only help to create a safe and nurturing space, but they will also empower people to take the time they need to recharge and focus on their mental health. Again, thank you for all your help and support. I hope that you will continue to support our classrooms and other classrooms who need supports so that we can continue to support those who needs them.”
With gratitude,

Funded May 21, 2024Thank you very much supporting our classrooms. We greatly appreciate your contribution and donations. It has help many students in their learning and acquiring knowledge. One project we worked on was measuring the length of the box of the markers and getting its perimeter and comparing it to box of the colored pencils. They also measures the length, width and height of the chair can compared them to each other.
The students were very excited to see all the new materials in class. They couldn't wait to use the new markers they got. They were also very excited to sit on the chair when they are having a break time or talking to their friends while having lunch or recess.
The next steps for my students on a current classroom project is to try to color and create an project that represents what they enjoy. They will be using the materials how to properly use them and properly take care of them. They would learn to appreciate the things that we have received from great donors like you.”
With gratitude,
Ms. M
