Garden Tools
Funded Apr 7, 2025With your contribution, we now have the necessary materials to make this garden a reality. The students will have the opportunity to get their hands in the soil, growing plants and flowers while learning valuable lessons about responsibility, the environment, and the importance of healthy living.
We are truly fortunate to have individuals like you who believe in the power of education and community involvement. Your kindness is making a meaningful difference in the lives of our students, and we cannot thank you enough.”

Our Educational Garden
Funded Aug 12, 2024Our new garden has quickly become an invaluable part of our classroom. Recently, my students started a project where they researched different types of plants that are native to our region, and then they worked in groups to design and plant a small section of the garden. Each group was responsible for choosing plants based on factors like sunlight, soil type, and the care required. We've also been incorporating the garden into our lessons on ecosystems, where the students observe the interactions between the plants and local wildlife.
The next steps in our garden-related learning are to dive deeper into the concept of plant growth cycles and how we can track and measure the progress of our plants over time. We'll be creating garden journals to document the changes we see in our plants, keeping track of how weather affects growth, and even conducting experiments with different types of soil or watering schedules.
Additionally, my students are planning a community event to showcase what they've learned and share the fruits of their labor with our neighbors. They'll be designing educational materials for the event, explaining the importance of native plants and how to care for a garden sustainably. It's an exciting project that combines science, art, and community engagement, and the students are really looking forward to it!”
