  • Show it, Share it! A New Home for our Books

    Funded Dec 13, 2024

    This new book shelf is a great addition to our classroom! It really helps our students keep the books we love right at the tips of our fingers in a place we h can show them off! We love being able to go into our little library space with our comfy rug, comfy pillows and just read some of our favorite big and small books. Having these books right in our library area has been such a blessing. Our students love being able to show off our books when visitors come in or parents come to read to our class. We're very lucky to have been gifted this generous gift and are so blessed to have a home for our new books.

  • Hear Me, Read to Me!

    My students and I are overwhelmed with excitement and thanks for your generous donations that gave us the ability to utilize online reading platforms to teach and help our students learn to read. The headphones were given throughout the entire kindergarten grade level and now each student has a magnificent headphone that allows them to access online resource like Amira to read to them and have them read to the computer, teaching our students the basic foundational reading skills they need.

    The headphones help our students engage with the online curriculum which monitor and listen for the way they read to help best give them the help they need based on what the computers hear them dictate through the headphones. In the past, without headphones, often times the computer wouldn't hear what the students were saying and the program wouldn't work with fidelity. Now with these new headphones our students will have a chance to really to get utilize this program and its uniqueness to access great resources for learning how to read!

    Funding of this project has not only changed our students academic lives but their ability to be able to believe that others believe in them too!”
