Highland Middle School serves inner city students. Many of my students are struggling with situations that are out of their control. School is their safe place. I want to foster a classroom environment that is supportive and welcoming. Building their trust, they can count on me to be their biggest cheerleader. Middle School is hard enough for most students. Where we are trying to figure out who we are, where do we fit. I am excited to help students realize that although math can be a real challenge to understand, it is not impossible! It is good to struggle and keep trying!

About my class
