• Math Title I Support Essentials

  Thank you kindly for helping supply my students with brand new calculators, folders, tissues, and practice cards! I know that the majority of my students are anxious about not having the proper materials for class. They were so excited to see the calculators, so now my students can each have their very own! I have a student materials center right as they come into the classroom, so they can grab their assigned calculators and folders that they need to be ready for the day. In addition to it being flu season, we go through tissues very quickly, so thank you for helping me stock up! I am so appreciative that they know they can count on me always having something for them if needed, because of your donation!

  The Bridge the Gap practice cards were a big surprise to my students. I love to use them as bellworks and classroom activities. The students felt so special seeing them brand new, and as a way to make them more engaged during their Title time. The cards have a front and back, so if students are struggling with the grade level side, they can flip it over for additional support on the prerequisite side. Once they come in, grab their class folder and calculators, and begin working on their practice cards, it makes everything run seamlessly. Having these items provides so much structure and gives my students a sense of responsibility. Every Friday, we do folder checks and play some sort of game with the practice cards, and they have grown so much in the last few weeks since using them. • Classroom Essentials

  Thank you kindly for helping supply my students with brand new highlighters, mechanical pencils, erasers, and looseleaf paper! I know that the majority of my students are anxious about not having the proper materials for class. They were so excited to see all of the mechanical pencils, which also make for great incentives and prizes. I have a student materials center right as they come into the classroom, so they can grab whatever they need to be ready for the day. Several students pop into my room asking for paper, pencils, or an eraser, daily. I am so appreciative that they know they can count on me always having something for them if needed, because of your donation!

  The mechanical pencils were a big surprise to my students. I love to use mechanical pencils as one of my incentives, and the students treat them like gold! The student materials center in my classroom is fully stocked with the notebook paper, highlighters, and erasers. Having this area in my room provides so much structure and gives my students a sense of responsibility. When my students enter the classroom, they have everything they need right as they enter to allow for a smooth transition to class. Every week, a new student is "hired" to restock the student materials. They take great pride in doing their job and making sure every one of their peers has access to the supplies we use daily. Thank you, once again, for your tremendous generosity on behalf of my students and myself!”

• Outdoor Classroom

  Thank you kindly for helping supply my students with brand new pencils and calculators! I know that the majority of my students are anxious about not having the proper materials for class. They were so excited to see their new and fully-stocked supply of pencils. I have a student materials center right as they come into the classroom, so they can grab whatever they need to be ready for the day. Several students pop into my room every couple days (and of course a few every day) asking to get a pencil. They especially love how the pastel pencils "match the vibe" of my classroom. I am so appreciative that they know they can count on me always having one for them if needed, because of your donation!

  The brand new calculators were a big surprise to my students. I only take a few students at a time for Title I services, and it has been a game changer having my own class set of calculators. My sixth-grade students were the first group to use the new TI-30XIIS calculators. They were so excited to have their very own calculator to use in class each day, and they have been taking very good care of them. It is so encouraging and rewarding seeing them learn the new functions on the calculator and seeing them care so much for the materials. We are currently working on reviewing operations with fractions. The minute I showed them how to check their answers using the fraction functions, they were blown away! A couple students said they were going to ask for their own for Christmas, so they can have one at home for their homework, too. Seeing the excitement, ownership, and responsibility grow within my students over the new calculators and the supply of pencils has brought so much joy to my classroom already.
