  • Envirothon Excellence: Year-Round Tree & Soil Study Tools!

    Funded Apr 7, 2025

Thank you so much for funding our "Envirothon Excellence: Year-Round Tree & Soil Study Tools!" project! Your support has given our FFA Envirothon team the tools they needed to study more efficiently and confidently right from the classroom. The common leaves and seeds mount has helped my students sharpen their tree and plant ID skills, and the LaMotte soil sampling tube has brought soil science lessons to life in a hands-on way.

This project made it possible for my students to study without needing to travel to specific outdoor locations. Now, they can practice and prepare year-round—rain or shine—which has taken so much stress off our competition prep. It's also opened the door for deeper, more frequent study sessions and boosted their confidence going into the Envirothon.

Thanks to your generosity, we've created a more accessible, consistent, and engaging way to explore environmental science. Your donation is helping grow the next generation of environmentally conscious leaders, and we're so grateful to have your support.”

  • Growing Minds: Books That Build Ag, Aqua, and Eco Knowledge!

    Funded Apr 10, 2025

Thank you so much for funding our classroom book project! Because of your generosity, my students now have access to an incredible variety of books that support hands-on, cross-disciplinary learning—from aquaponics and aquaculture to FFA and Envirothon prep. When they first explored the collection, including the bird sound guide, coloring book, and lab materials, their excitement was immediate. These are books they actually want to use.

This project has brought new life and learning into our classroom. The Backyard Birdsong Guide has already become a favorite—students love matching bird calls to local species while working in the garden or greenhouse. The Marine Biology Coloring Book and gardening lab book have helped students engage with science in a creative, low-pressure way that supports different learning styles. These resources make learning more accessible, more fun, and more relevant to their daily experiences.

Thanks to you, our little classroom library has grown into a hub of exploration, inspiration, and real-world learning. Your support has made a lasting impact not just on how my students learn, but on how they love to learn.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Stelljes

  • Confidence & Comfort: Discreet Period Products for Equity in Education!

    Funded Feb 26, 2025

Thank you so much for funding our personal period products project! Because of your generosity, we were able to provide pads, tampons, discreet pouches, and the beloved "menstruation crustaceans" to our students. These super-soft, microwavable comfort items have been a huge hit with my girls—they've been using them not just during their cycles, but also for headaches, general discomfort, or even just to feel more at ease while studying.

This project has made a real difference in helping my students feel seen, supported, and confident. Having period products available right in the bathroom has helped reduce anxiety, stress, and missed class time. The girls were genuinely excited and grateful when they received everything. What was once an uncomfortable and sometimes stressful situation has turned into something manageable and even comforting.

Thanks to you, my students know they are cared for—and that's something they'll carry with them far beyond the classroom. We are so thankful for your support in helping us create a space that prioritizes dignity, equity, and kindness.”

  • Reeling in Success: FFA Fishing Days After School!

    Funded Dec 25, 2024

Thank you so much for your generosity in funding our fishing poles for the FFA club! The excitement among my students has been incredible—they can't wait to put them to use. We are currently in the process of obtaining fishing licenses and planning our first fishing event, and the anticipation is growing every day.

This project has given my students a new way to connect with nature, build teamwork, and develop valuable outdoor skills. Fishing provides a hands-on learning experience that teaches patience, problem-solving, and environmental stewardship. For many of my students, this will be their first time fishing, and having the right equipment makes all the difference in building their confidence and enjoyment of the sport.

As we prepare for our first FFA fishing day, we are also looking at ways to incorporate lessons on aquatic ecosystems, conservation, and responsible fishing practices. Your support has made this opportunity possible, creating meaningful experiences that my students will carry with them for years to come. Thank you for helping us bring this exciting and educational activity to life!”

  • Turtley Awesome: Exploring Aquatic Life and Conservation!

    Funded Feb 14, 2025

Thank you so much for your generosity in funding our aquatic turtle tank project! Because of your support, my students now have an exciting and interactive way to learn about the lifecycles of aquatic organisms, conservation efforts, and habitat management. When they first saw the tank being set up, they were filled with excitement, eager to explore this new addition to our classroom.

This project has given my students hands-on experience with aquatic species beyond traditional aquaculture. By observing and caring for turtles and other aquatic organisms, they are gaining a deeper understanding of ecosystem dynamics, conservation practices, and responsible stewardship. This experience not only enhances their scientific knowledge but also sparks curiosity about careers in wildlife conservation and environmental science.

Looking ahead, we plan to incorporate the turtle tank into lessons about habitat preservation, endangered species conservation, and even the potential for reintroducing species into the wild. Your generosity has provided my students with a unique and engaging way to connect with the natural world, and we are incredibly grateful for your support in making this project a reality!”

  • Watertight Learning: Waders for Fish Sampling Success!

    Funded Dec 12, 2024

Thank you so much for your generosity in funding our waders project! Because of your support, my students can now fully participate in fish sampling surveys without worrying about damaging their uniforms. When they first saw the waders, their excitement was evident—they were eager to get out in the water and experience hands-on learning in a way they hadn't before.

This project has given my students the opportunity to engage in real-world scientific fieldwork. By wearing waders, they can safely and comfortably explore aquatic environments, collect data, and gain valuable skills in environmental monitoring and conservation. This experience not only enhances their understanding of aquaculture but also helps them develop critical thinking and problem-solving abilities that will serve them well in future careers.

Moving forward, we plan to use the waders for more in-depth water quality assessments and ecosystem studies, expanding our students' knowledge and hands-on experience. Your generosity has made a lasting impact by providing the tools they need to succeed in both their education and their future endeavors. Thank you for making this opportunity possible!”

  • Plunging Into Plankton: Hands-On Marine Exploration!

    Funded Dec 12, 2024

Thank you so much for your generosity in funding our plankton net project! Your support has given my students the opportunity to explore the hidden world of microscopic aquatic life, deepening their understanding of marine ecosystems in a hands-on and exciting way. When they first saw the plankton net, their excitement was contagious—they couldn't wait to get to the water and start discovering what was unseen to the naked eye.

This project has transformed our classroom into a hub of scientific exploration. Students have been able to collect plankton samples, analyze them under microscopes, and identify the tiny organisms that form the foundation of aquatic food chains. Seeing these microscopic creatures firsthand has helped them connect textbook lessons to real-world applications, making abstract concepts tangible and engaging.

Looking ahead, we plan to expand our research by monitoring different water sources and studying environmental factors that impact plankton populations. Your generosity has not only provided an incredible learning tool but has also ignited curiosity and a deeper appreciation for marine science. Thank you for making this project possible and for investing in our students' education and future.”

    With gratitude,

  • Refreshingly Eco-Conscious!

    Funded Nov 14, 2024

Thank you so much for funding our "Refreshingly Eco-Conscious" project! Your generosity has provided my students with a water cooler and aluminum water bottles, ensuring they stay hydrated while working in the greenhouse and Aquaculture lab. These tools have not only improved their comfort but have also emphasized the importance of sustainable practices in their daily lives.

This project has made a tangible impact on both their well-being and their learning experience. With easy access to cold water, students can focus on their hands-on projects without the distraction of heat and dehydration. The reusable bottles have also sparked conversations about sustainability, helping them understand how small changes can reduce waste and benefit the environment.
