Students living at or below the poverty level often face a range of challenges that can impact their educational experiences. These students may come from single-parent households, be part of larger families, or experience food insecurity, which can affect their focus and participation in school. Many lack access to resources such as books, technology, and extracurricular programs that enrich learning.
In a STEM project, these students bring unique perspectives and resilience, often demonstrating creativity and resourcefulness in overcoming obstacles.
This project aims to provide them with the tools and opportunities needed to explore STEM concepts, fostering a sense of belonging and encouraging a love for learning that can help break the cycle of poverty.
