  • Materials to Teach Students Kindness, Empathy, and Self-regulation Skill

    On behalf of my students, families, and community I want to express my deepest gratitude for your generous donations to my classroom.

    My students are learning to self-regulate when I read the stories you helped buy. I see improvement on behavior issues after reading the stories that discuss feelings, sharing, and showing kindness. Also having options for sitting has helped the students who have difficulties staying focused. The Flex-Space Washable Comfy Floor Seats have been a great addition to our classroom. The children can sit for longer periods and are more motivated to attend to stories or other class discussions.

    Thank you so much for the weighted stuffed animals. They have been amazing to keep the children calm and quiet during rest time. All of your donations have helped my students improve their behavior issues, exercise self control, be motivated learners, show kindness to others, and be ready to learn.”

  • Visual Supports To Develop Language Skills

    Funded May 8, 2024

    I want to express my gratitude for your generous donation to support the learning of my students. Having a laminator and laminating sheets has allowed me to provide my students with all the pictures needed to support their language development and to comprehend and communicate. I am also able to use visuals to support behavior and improve social emotional development.

    With your donation I created a choice board for students to decide what they want to do during recess. I also used the laminating film to create pictures to describe our classroom rules.

    Having pictures that I can use over the years will help my students with language development, communication ,and comprehension.

    I have been using the laminator and the laminating sheets daily to illustrate different vocabulary and academic concepts. It has truly helped me so much, I have not had to use my own money to buy these precious teaching supplies.
