Building Blocks to Education
Funded Dec 20, 2024Thank you so much for this donation. You have no idea how impactful this will be for my students. You are helping to pave the way for my scholar's success. Their education is priceless and with your contribution, they will continue to succeed. As much as I do, I cannot do it alone. Therefore, I am extremely grateful for people like you who continue to uplift and help others around them. Your impact will live on forever.”

Funded Aug 1, 2024To start off I want to extend the upmost gratitude to all who donated. So far we have used the materials from this donation in various aspects. The children really enjoy having the light covers to dim the harsh lights in the classroom as well as the LED lights which make it a fun place to learn. The bean bag has been used as a calming space for students to relax and regroup during tough times. It also has been used as a reward to incentivize students toward good behavior.
My students reactions were absolutely priceless once they saw the materials in the room. They raved about how quickly this became their favorite classroom to be in and how different it was from the others. Students both with and without disabilities have taken a special liking to the magnetic tiles as they are easy to use and can help regulate students who may be overstimulated. Many scholars also love sitting at my table with the salt lamp as they feel calmer being near its soft light and warmth. Due to the fact that I strongly encourage curiosity in my room many scholars have taken up interest in learning more about their anatomy and essentially what makes them, them, and the posters I have hanging up help me not only educate them but educate themselves.
My next steps are to redecorate using new borders and creative designs to engage the students in their weekly schedules. I also plan to continue fostering creativity and making mistakes by allowing students to use dry erase boards in addition to paper or opting for dry erase boards completely. I also plan to continue to implement positive narration using the posters and the other mental health reminders around the classrooms to guide students during tough emotional times. This truly would not be possible without you and I cannot say thank you enough.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Glover
