Thank you so much for your generous donations to make our classroom run smoothly! We can’t make our classroom the best it can be without you! Our class will be able to have all of our technology devices to be charged at one time. Thank you again for all your generosity.”

  • Learning Life Skills Now for Our Future!

    Funded Apr 30, 2024

We are blown away at all the support you have given to this project and so are our students. With these new resources our students are going to be able to learn new life skills of the month and they will also be able to incorporate them into our daily centers in our classroom. Most of them will be in our pretend play area that our students all love to go to. Since we are a Life Skills classroom we focus a lot of our day on teaching students real life skills as well as academics. Specifically our kitchen pretend center. Our students received all new food, pretend play boxes of food just like the grocery store, and all new kitchen utensils and plates. When the students came in for meet the teacher we had the pretend kitchen set up and their eyes lit up with excitement because everything was new and they didn't have to play with taped together food or utensils anymore. Your help with this project brought hope to our classroom and to our students. We can not thank you enough for your continued support.

If you would like to check out any other projects we have going on they will be on our page soon. We are wanting our students to have the best learning environment possible and can only happen with generous donors like you.”

  • Binding Our Books!

    Funded Jul 31, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous donations for our book binder. We are able to bind our interactive and adaptive books for our Life Skills students that age from three years old to third grade. Being able to have these bound makes them last longer and hold up better so we can use them for several years to come. Our students love to see that the books are bound together instead of being put together with d rings that always end up giving out and the book falls apart. Our whole Special Education department is so thankful for your donations and continued support to our projects and we couldn't give our students what they need without you. Thank you so much again for your help to our Special Education Department.”

  • Flexible Seating Around The Room

    Funded Aug 14, 2024

Having our flexible seating in our classroom has been such a blessing. So much so that we are having to pass around some of our flexible seating to our other Life Skills classroom because they are needed in there as well. Seeing the students faces for the first times when they came in to see their very own flexible seating option was just the best. Not all of our students wanted a different seating option but those who did received one.

In our classroom we have noticed that there might be some different options as far as flexible seating is concerned so we are going to do another project for that. We are in need of bigger yoga ball chairs for our bigger students, wobble chairs for those who do not prefer the yoga ball chairs, and then leaf scoop chairs for our students that prefer a little more spinning in their seating option. If you would like to see that project it will be on our page soon and will need all the help we can get. Giving our students the best possible ways to learn is something we strive for and the only way we can do that is with generous donors like you. We thank you so much for all your help and support to help us build the best possible learning environment for our students that we can.”

  • Fueling Our Brains

    Funded Aug 4, 2024

Your generous donations towards Fueling Our Brains. Our department classrooms are stocked with snacks to keep our students full during the day. We have students ranging from three year old's to third grade students and they are always hungry it seems like. Keeping all thirty-five students brains going through the day is no small task and we are so grateful for your help. We were able to fill our snack carts before the first day of school so when the students got to snack time on the first day they were so excited about the variety and to see some of their favorites. They asked where all the snacks came from and I got to tell them that we got all of these great snack from some very special people who love and support our classroom.

Our classroom is off to a great start to our year because of donors like you. We are working on a few more projects for our students. One of them being a charging station for our Early Childhood Special Education Classroom (ECSE) so that all of their technology devices can be charged at one time. They need these technology devices so that they can communicate to their teachers and peers. On these devices the students have what is essentially their voice, so they have all of the words they already know and as their vocabulary grows teachers can add that new vocabulary to them. If you know anyone who would like to help with that project please pass it along to them so we can get these kiddos what they need to be successful.

Again thank you so much for all your help and generosity to fulfill this project.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Victoria

  • Learning to Love Reading!

    Funded May 31, 2024

Thank you so much for your support in building our classroom library. Our students are able to have the books they need to fall in love with reading. With these new books our students can explore them independently or as a whole class. I will pick a book of the week and we will talk about the book features and have some before we read questions. Once we have talked about what we think might happen in the book we then read it and see if we were right. We talk about the plot, characters, setting, and anything else about the book the students want to discuss or any questions about the book the students have. Reading in our classroom varies. The students can either explore the books in our library or they can bring them to one of the teachers and we can read and explore it with them. Anytime a student wants to read a book in our class no matter what we are doing we will stop and read it with them because reading and hearing language is important to their reading and literacy skills. Our older books have seen better days so when the students saw we received new books they were so excited that all the pages were there! Our classroom is so grateful for you contribution to our classroom and we can't thank you enough.”
