Ready, Set, Print!

These 3D printer pens have already been a huge hit in my classroom. Students come in so excited to work on their project. Our first project of the year was creating a new planet in our solar system that has never been discovered before. Our driving question, "If we discovered a new planet, what would it be like," has given students the opportunity to stretch their imagination and learning beyond the world around them. We began creating models of these planets. Students were given multiple mediums to choose from, including the 3D printer pens. There have been many lessons in planning, developing, and problem solving using these pens.

I have seen a couple students in particular who have really shown their strengths withing this project through the 3D printer pens. One of my students struggles sometimes with listening and completing school work. Through this hands-on method of learning, he has proved how detail oriented he can be. These 3D printer pens have been a major game changer in how we produce final products within our projects. It is all thanks to the wonderful donors with Donors Choose!”
